Veterinary Relief International (VRI) is a non-profit charitable organization dedicated to improving the welfare of domestic and wild animals in less-developed regions of the world. The vast suffering and profound neglect of animals in impoverished regions justify our efforts.
VRI veterinarians provide services for animals that, otherwise, would be unlikely to receive a single examination over the entire course of their lives. We focus our efforts on mitigating malnutrition and overpopulation, and on the diagnosis and treatment of specific diseases at the level of individual animals and populations. We utilize the disciplines of veterinary clinical medicine, epidemiology, pathology, toxicology, preventative medicine, and education.
