Position Description

Sales Representative

 

 

Summary.  Sales Representative is responsible for selling the complete line of Ulanji products and services within assigned territory.

 

Duties. Sales representative will perform the following duties:

 

1.      Prospect for new customers.

2.      Present, propose, negotiate and close new business opportunities.

3.      Participate in the implementation process with the customer.

4.      Maintain an ongoing relationship with the client.

5.      Achieve revenue and profitability goals.

6.      Manage and maintain an updated sales forecast in the prescribed manner

7.      Ensure that follow tasks are completed and reported in a timely manner.

8.      On a monthly basis, submit a Monthly Activity report in the prescribed format.

9.      Act with the highest degree of integrity and professionalism including an understanding and acceptance of the Ulanji 3-5-7.

 

 

Tools.  Individual will work with the following tools:

 

1.      Microsoft Office

2.      Ulanji Platform Environment

3.      Generic Email

4.      Sales Force dot Com web application or similar application

 

Experience.  1-3 years sales experience.  Prefer experience selling data, data communications or internetworking/internet type solutions.

 

Education.  Four year degree preferred.

 

Interaction.  Interacts with customer personnel, internal project and development management personnel.

 

Travel.   Most travel is via automobile in the greater Charleston area.

Compensation.  Position is salary plus incentive compensation, and is considered an at will position. Incentive compensation information is detailed in the Ulanji Incentive Compensation plan which is provided to employee but it should be noted that such compensation is based on profitability.

 

Revenue Exposure:  High

  1. Development of new opportunities provides an opportunity for future revenue and cash flow.
  2. Revenue forecasts represent basis for investment decisions
  3. Development and management of existing client opportunities has the potential to effect ongoing revenue and cash flow

 

Measurements. 

  1. Achievement of sales, revenue and profitability goals.
  2. Sales prospecting metrics (no of suspects, no of calls, no of appointments, no. of proposal
  3. Management  of and development of factored forecast and pipeline
  4. Close ratio
  5. Producing monthly report
  6. Achieving business goals.
