The Island is never a lonely place, perhaps because no one comes to the Island, but for love. This is really all the locals have in common; everyone is here because they love it. At the Island Fling the independently wealthy share the porch counter with shrimpers, while artists sip sweet iced tea with high-powered telecommuters. Locals greet each other with the camaraderie of a shared and secret treasure, and visitors find themselves relaxing in the comfortable generosity of people content that they have a gracious plenty and can well afford to share.
