Bob Harrington, the “Chaplain of Bourbon Street,” once said “the best way to help poor people is NOT to be one of them." I agree. We are not meant to be under the bondage of debt and financial ignorance. If we give just a small amount of focus and discipline to our finances, we can live in the abundance that God put us on this Earth to experience. Money should not be the primary motivating factor in our lives—God, family, relationships, health, and happiness should all precede money. However, only two conditions can exist in your relationship with your money: you can control it, or it will control you–PERIOD.
