Does Ulanji offer custom design services?

Yes. And, our design services will typically run less than many of our competitors because our underlying technology allows us to compartmentalize site production. In other words, our designers only design.



How long does it take Ulanji to develop a website?

Short answer? 10 days to 10 months.

Long answer? It depends on the size and scope of the project. It depends on the intricacy of the design. It depends on how organized the client is.

But, truth be known, the size of the project is a distant second. The biggest cause of delay is waiting for the client to produce content or make decisions. Scheduling a web development department is an art form. Let's say a designer is scheduled to produce a "look and feel" one week and that project is scheduled into production the next. If the client takes two weeks to make a decision, schedules are shot.



What hosting environment do you use?

Ulanji is an open source hosting vendor. Our operating system is Linux. Our web servers run on Apache. We code in PHP. Unlike many internal network environments, website hosting requires maximum security and stability. We also believe that an open source environment gives us a leg up on staying current.
