A non-profit organization dedictated to animal care in Mexico.
VIDAS is a dedicated group of volunteers, veterinarians, veterinary technicians, and veterinary students that provide animal welfare services, to the homeless animals and those whose owners can't afford treatment, in Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula. VIDAS sets up free clinics in some of the fastest growing areas in the world. Its mission is to combat animal overpopulation, which is affecting the environment and spreading diseases, by providing free clinics to sterilize and vaccinate local animals. In addition, VIDAS is aware that the only way to truly make a difference is to educate the young people, so starting in 2004 they will be adding that component will be added to the clinics.
