Ulanji announces the release of version 3.6 of its browser-based website and portal management application suite called the Ulanji n-jine.
May 30, 2002 - North Charleston, SC -- The Ulanji n-jine 3.6 incorporates more functionality than earlier releases. Website management modules now allow for even more control, while new hardware and database upgrades save time by vastly increasing the speed of management and publishing. New functionality and improvements to existing modules include:
- Automated Error Checking - check more than 100 different items and processes for possible errors.
- Catalog Import - import products, services or item-specific information into the catalog automatically.
- Multiple shipping messages - now administrators can create 3 different messages to be sent automatically to customers based on the type of transaction.
- Related Catalog Items - products or services can be related to one another thus improving the visitor's experience. Active and inactive products or services can now also be associated with one another.
- Hierarchical Categories - an improved collapsible display allows for simpler navigation, editing and moving of category trees.
- Catalog Pricing - administrator can now choose not to display price if the price field is left blank.
- Page Preview - all applicable pages can now be previewed before being published.
- Search Catalog by Category - administrators can now search their catalog by product or service category.
- Export - sales reports and file names can now be exported to other applications.
- Reports - now allows drilling down to actual orders.
- Mailing Lists - faster batch uploading.

Version 1.0 of the Ulanji N-Jine was released in August 2000. Version 3.6 currently drives some 32 websites and 105 microsites. In Summerville, being a joint venture with the Greater Summerville Dorchester Chamber of Commerce.
